Gathering together
Meeting up with friends and joining in groups is not a new activity. Thanks to Covid and lockdown we have been diverted for our normal social groups in recent years and perhaps you are ready to find a new community that fits your lifestyle. We host seasonal gatherings where like minded people can get together and spend time doing new activities and pushing ourselves outside our comfort zone. In recent times we have had beginners stand up paddleboarding and kayaking sessions, Day trip to Buckstone Jump in the Lake district and Weekend Wellbeing gathering at The Barn Easington.
Foraging
All around us nature provides. Come for a walk with me to open you eyes to the bounty that is all around us and some very interesting facts, myths and folklore that surround many of the natural plants in our environment. Instead of doom scrolling away your weekend hours, spend a couple of hours strolling along the hedgerows, woodlands and fields to find seasonal edible or medicinal plants. Recipe ideas and reference material available for participants. Families can join in the foraging fun through school holidays where we offer Campfire cooking along with our foraging adventures.
Creativity
We offer a range of creative and entertaining activities throughout the year. Examples of this are fused glass workshop –murder mystery wine tasting event, needle felt for Easter. There are many amazing creative people in our community that can offer enjoyable crafting experiences that lift us from the mundane to pleasurable experiences. Creativity is one way of finding relaxation and mindfulness. Some people take away new hobby and others just dip their toe in to see what it is like. Whatever your experience it will involve spending a few hours with friends new and old.
